Hazards Management on the Lower Bow River, Banff National Park.
Our team conducted a detailed assessment of recreational use patterns along the Lower Bow Valley, between Banff and Canmore in Banff National Park. This study focused on identifying the temporal and spatial distribution of recreational activities, providing insights into when and where activities occurred most frequently.
Additionally, we evaluated recreationists’ awareness and understanding of hazards along this river stretch. These findings informed strategies to enhance safety and management practices, ensuring a balance between recreation and risk mitigation in this popular area.
